English as a Second Language (ESL)
Welcome To Our Community!
First Presbyterian Church would like to welcome you to America. We know living and working in a new country can be most difficult, especially if you don’t speak this country’s language. To help you gain some proficiency in the language, we offer classes every Monday evening August thru May from 7 to 9 pm. These classes are for adults, for every fluency level and are free of charge. Everyday use of English is taught, using the same curriculum as most community colleges.
Beginners – For those who speak little or no English
Intermediate – For those who know just enough English to get by
Advanced – For those who want to improve vocabulary, pronunciation, learn
idioms and feel more comfortable expressing themselves at work,
school and at home
You may register any Monday night during the school year. Our classes are free but we do suggest you purchase a textbook. We also have free childcare for children up to 12 years old.
